| Meet the Faculty and Your Peers in Sunny Santa Barbara! For live seminar details, click here: Breakthrough to Prime! Spiral Dynamics There are several opportunities to attend on-site sessions - Students may attend live seminars in the Adizes methodology and Spiral Dynamics, and
students will defend their Ph.D. dissertation in Santa Barbara, California. These appointments with the faculty and colleagues are a wonderful opportunity for personal networking and dialogue. Interaction with faculty members and your peers creates a sense of community, global in reach, that continues to grow through participation in the interactive program environment.
The Adizes seminar, combined with two online modules, provides credit for the basic Adizes course. The Spiral Dynamics seminar is combined with three-weeks online dialogue for graduate credit. Attending the live seminar combined with the online format will accelerate the completion of degree programs because these options usually overlap other ongoing classes enabling students to take five academic classes in one year instead of three. For more information regarding the seminar calendar, contact us and sign up to receive our quarterly newsletter by email. Ph.D. Ph.D. candidates who have completed their dissertations are expected to present their work to the AGS community and the Doctoral Examining Committee in Santa Barbara, California. They are expected to answer qestions from faculty, colleagues and the AGS community regarding the background of the theory they have developed, the logic used in model building and the validity and usefulness of the theory presented. Clinical Program on-site classes See Required Travel for details regarding session length and timing. The specializations in Diagnosis and Design each require one on-site class in the Doctoral Program. The specialization in Teleology
requires two on-site classes. Students in the Clinical Programs do not need to travel to California to present their final project. In Santa Barbara, guests may stay at the Hotel Santa Barbara, just a few blocks from the harbor in the downtown walking district near entertaining night clubs, microbreweries, restaurants, and shopping. However, we recommend the Inn at East Beach, a small lodge with extra large rooms, high-beamed ceilings, fireplaces, room service from The Radisson's excellent restaurant, complete with everything from microwaves to hair dryers, just a few steps from the beach, an oceanside grill, the bird refuge, and fine restaurants. Our conference center, La Casa de Maria, in the foothills of Santa Barbara, is on El Bosque Road
near the center of upscale Montecito, not far from the Inn. This 'secret garden' retreat is graced with old oak trees and has offered unparalleled serenity to guests for over 60 years. (Click here or use MapQuest) | ||||||||||||||||||||
